Inspired by Nigella Lawson's bread pudding recipe, i tried to make my version of chocolate chip bread pudding. It's very simple, you won't need a long time to make it. So here's what you need:
4 slices of bread
1/2 lt milk
3 eggs
1 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp rum (or as you like)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp white sugar (for sprinkle)
How to make:
- Cut the bread slices into pieces, put them in a dish. Sprinkle the middle and top part with chocolate chips.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, light brown sugar, rum, and cinnamon powder.
- Add milk & eggs mixture into bread.
- Let the bread soak for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with white sugar to add crisp.
- Put in the pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celcius for 20- 25 minutes.
- Serve while still warm (5 - 6 servings)
