Hello!
I know, it's been a long time since i visited and posted something here. It's just that i've been very busy working and doing family thing, and also to the facts that i have no oven in my house, so i can't bake anything. Recently, there were a family gathering at my Mom's house and i decided to make a little something that was easy peasy. I've been curious about making Banoffee Pie, and so here it is.
I've got the recipe from Nicko's Kitchen's Youtbe channel. It's one of the easiest recipes i've ever tried.
Here's what you need, and oh.. i've changed the recipe a bit!- 1 pack wheat biscuits
- 125 g butter (melted)
- 2 bananas (cut into a chip-like pieces)
- 300 ml double cream (or whip cream will do just fine)
- 220g sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 (or make it 1/4 cup) brown sugar
- 50g butter
Directions:
- Crushed the biscuits, and then mix with the melted butter
- Press the crumbs into the botton of ramekins and pop into the fridge
- Into a cold pan, pour the condence milk, brown sugar, and butter. Turn the heat on to low, melt them all together. Remember to set at the low heat, stir for not more than 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk the whip cream until a bit stiff and fluffy
- Assemble the banoffee pie: crumbs - drizzle the toffee - whip cream - banana - whip cream - drizzle the toffee - put a bit of the crumble on top just to garnish.
- And then you're done. This should make for about 8 small portions.
